Viral Marketing Examples, What is it and How Does Viral Marketing Work?

What is this term Viral we have been hearing so much about? It sounds bad? What is a Viral video? We will cover these and other questions in this article. We will also go through a real live example of how a viral video can spread.

Lets start with a definition. I quote wikipedia here: “Viral marketing and viral advertising refer to marketing techniques that use pre-existing social networks to produce increases in brand awareness or to achieve other marketing objectives (such as product sales) through self replicating viral processes, similar to the spread of pathological and/or computer viruses.

Long story short it is a way to use the already established media channels as a means of distributing your message. Just genius.

So what about a fat kid singing is viral, and why should something like that go viral? Well lets go through an example and use this child “Brian” as the example.

It goes like this. Brian uploads to Youtube. Bethany posts Brian’s video on her Myspace. All her friends see her myspace and post it on theirs and the virus begins to spread.

Now that the process has started it will be replicated on the other social media sites and distributed as far as possible and the virus is growing. Social bookmarking, blogs and email chains can make the process explode!

So can you make any money with this info? Well lets just say if you do it right, like Frank Kern for example, you can make about 3 million in a day like he does. Or even a few hundred would be cool to most!

The others are probably hatching a plan to get their crazy video out there and become famous. To that I say more power to you.

Keep it up, go out there and make a million and get a million hits.

MLM Business: Worth a Second Look

Multilevel marketing, now more popularly known as MLM business, is a system wherein a person gathers people who, like him, are interested in being entrepreneurs. Together, they sell products. The person who started the business would be the “upline”, while the rest of his network is the “downline.” From them, the upline gets a commission of sorts. Before, the MLM business was remotely related to pyramiding scams, but really, it is a fairly great business plan and very much legal. Everybody can do it. And the fact that you don’t have to be anyone important or be rich to invest attracted a lot of people to venture into the MLM business.

Two Sides of a Coin

The main concept of being in the MLM business is that you cut out the middleman from the picture by going straight to the supplier, giving them direct access to the market without large costs. In doing so, consumers get their products at a much lesser cost without compromising the quality of the items. These two things mentioned above are the key targets of the MLM business – that is to say, quality products without hurting the budget.

Recall the days when your mom had people over all the time for Tupperware or Avon parties. Those people were the pioneers of the MLM business. And it worked out just fine for them, didn’t it?

Finding one that suits you

Be very meticulous when it comes to picking out the MLM business that would benefit you. One should pick and probe to avoid any involvement with an illegal MLM business. Putting your heart, mind, and soul into this business would make managing it even easier. Also, don’t hesitate to ask help if ever you need any, especially from the people around you.

One way of making sure that the MLM business you are in is legitimate is to determine if your profit actually comes from your hard work and not mostly from your downline’s sales. If it is, it’s better if you leave that MLM business pronto! For sure, you are in a pyramid scam and that does not, under any circumstances, serve your best interests.

Serious Entrepreneurs Don’t Need Toilet Paper

Most, if not all, entrepreneurs have their own Cinderella stories: from living on welfare and waiting tables, to making their first million before they’re 30 and owning jets.

While all these stories arouse feelings hope and inspiration, the trek up the road to success is really a bit more nasty.

Consider the approach taken by Mike Michalowicz, and ask yourself, “Am I a ‘Toilet Paper Entrepreneur’?”

Mike compares true entrepreneurialism to a typical bathroom experience: “business” is done and you discover only 3 sheets of TP left on the roll! Necessity breeds invention if you want to leave the rest room smelling like a rose.

He adds that successful and serious entrepreneurs are not those who sit around and wait for someone to hand them a “roll of toilet paper”.

They take matters into their own hands and search within reach that they use. If you must, dig through the garbage, or use the roll of cardboard instead and move on.

Moreover, serious entrepreneurs make it a habit of not making excuses and are impatient to those people who do.

You’ll never hear them say

“I don’t have enough money right now.”

“I’m not smart enough for that.”

“I don’t have the time. I’m too busy.”

“Businesses take too long to build.”

“There’s too much risk involved. I’m too scared.”

“I’m too old for this.”

Serious entrepreneurs don’t just sit and dream about when their big break would come, but they get off their butts and make it happen.

They don’t sit on their money, waiting for it to grow on their own. They’ll go out and make their own moneymaking ventures, whether it’s selling lemonade by the street, or setting microchips in Silicone Valley.

And if you think that they’re off burning their millions, think again! Warren Buffett, who is, according to Forbes, the third richest person in the world, lives in the same $31,500 home that he brought four decades ago, in Omaha, Nebraska.

Successful Entrepreneurs do not multi-task. They’re like bulldogs: they’ll latch on to one thing until it’s good and done proper.

They aren’t perfectioniststhey say, “Good is good enough.”

And that’s because they have learned that money likes speed.

They know that if they sit around and do and erase and redo and re-erase, by the time they finish their product, their competition would have swooped in, cornered the market, and left them no room at all.

They don’t spend the bulk of their time thinking, planning, and revising they take action.

They are thrill seekers, but they have gone out of their way to calculate the risks involved.

The founder of Feedburner.com, Dick Costolo once said, “The secret is to simply ride on the bike, just get on the bike without much thought of the reasons you could fall off. Just get on and pedal. You can grab a map, a tire pump, and better shoes while you’re at it.”

Serious Entrepreneurs do not need toilet paper.

Why so? Because for sure they have a napkin to spare in one of their pockets with another million dollar project written on the other side.

The Importance Of Email Follow-up In Your Home Business

Are you prepared to learn a valuable tip in network marketing? The follow up is where the money is!

Most people will not sign up the moment you show them the plan, whether it is online or offline. This is a fact that will not change and you will need to follow up a prospect a couple of times before you can sign them up or sponsor them.

Just take this short quiz:

Among all the tasks, which of the following earns you money?

- Lead Generation – Cold-calling – Showing The Plan – Follow Up

Obviously it is the follow-up. Compared to all the other tasks, even the least amount of time spent on follow-up will still generate MORE MONEY than the rest. The 80/20 rule applies where 20% of the actual work generates 80% of the results This is scientifically proven in everything that people do.

Now, there are many ways you can execute the follow up. You can drive out and meet people and ask them what they feel about your network marketing opportunity, or you can use emails to try and connect with them.

One of the best tools you can use to automate the follow-up process is by using an Autoresponder. On the Internet, this is what you can do:

- Generate leads from blogs, organic search, pay-per-click advertising, banner advertising, forums or Facebook.

- Drive those traffic to a lead capture page and capture those leads by offering them a free E-book or newsletter. The key is to legally bribe them into joining your newsletter and your mailing list.

- Use a series of follow up emails to give them valuable information in your newsletter. Do not try and sell them things on the first contact. Offer them tips on how your product can help them or how your network marketing business can help them to solve certain problems in their lives. Soft sell them regarding your opportunity for a period of 7-10 days because you want them to get to know who you are. You can use follow up emails to help you to build rapport.

- Finally, pitch your network marketing business once you feel that they are ready. You can also send them personal messages to ensure them that they are not receiving mail from a robot.

How to Avoid Home Business Scams

There are many scams out there on the internet, so how can you tell a genuine opportunity if you come across one? Many people will look to either an online or offline way of supplementing their current income. Most of us now have to supplement our day job with something on the side, just to get through the Economic climate of today.

There is no one compensation plan better than the other, it depends on what it is you want to get out of the business. With some opportunities the compensation plans mean high numbers of potential customers or clients, which in turn can be costly to get them in the first instance.

A question to ask yourself is, how quickly can I make back my start up costs through the compensation plan shown. i.e. if the business has cost you $2,500 and the compensation plan is either a % of the sales of the products, or a commission to bringing in other members of your team, how many potential prospects will it take you to pay back your start up costs.

Products There are various types of products. They could be downloadable e-books, software or courses which do not require storage space or physical products such as nutritional products, cosmetics which would need physical space to store them. How are you expected to retail them. For physical products normally word of mouth, or demonstrations, or sampling help to sell those types of products. They may be limited to which country you are allowed to sell them in, due to the trade licence laws on foods or products in some countries. For downloadable products, there are no such restrictions worldwide so this means that these can be retailed online anywhere globally.

4 Reasons to Generate Your MLM Marketing Leads.

When it comes to network marketing we often hear the question: which is much better and more effective whether to devote a reasonable time and energy to build my own mlm leads, or it is easier to buy a finished list. Out of many trial and errors, it is absolutely better to generate your own leads.

Why do you need to have your own mlm marketing leads?

1. The best mlm leads should be targeted.

Traditionally, leads companies which sell this list to you, generate this list in a very general way so that they can maximize their response rate. Such an advertising campaign is effective in the sense that you have a wide base of customers with different interests. On the other side, these mlm marketing leads are not so specific to the art of business you want to advertise.

In the end, you are left to sorting and this can be a time consuming procedure. Generating your own leads with an affiliate website you have would control all this stuff and help you to generate more sales since you target a narrow range of targeted customers.

2. Targeted mlm leads would react more effectively to your offer.

To succeed in your online business, your affiliate website must be your own mlm leads generator. This is a guarantee that your list would response to your emails since they registered themselves using your forum to further hear from you.

This is especially effective since your leads know you already and have a good idea what you offer and in most of the cases they are even ready to buy products related to your online business.

3. Self-built leads are real time.

A significant affiliate internet marketing tip is: generating your own MLM marketing leads help you to receive their response in real-time. This is especially powerful for people who are in the higher ticket business opportunities and they need the highest quality lead they can get to build their own down line.

One more serious benefit is the ability to contact your list immediately after the moment they offered you their contact details. This would sky rocket your chance to generate sales and affiliate commissions since your customers are currently looking for services related to your online business and that is why they visited your website.

4. Self-built mlm lead generator saves money.

Generating your own list can actually save you a lot of money if you spend the time to setup some solid affiliate advertising campaigns. Not like many other advertising strategies on the web you would not have the high cost of pay per click marketing either.

However, other costs have to be involved like any other marketing tools and auto responders have to be used in opt in mlm lead. But do not worry as the over all cost is still lower than any other expensive marketing techniques. A wise approach is to start with search engine optimization to get a high ranking for your webpage among the organic search results and other free email marketing programs.
